Set 6- Style
Set 6 was a turning point in series. Here I chose to reflect style and did so by painting in three major styles; impressionism, 60's pop art, and abstraction. I tried to choose three of the most popular and iconic art forms that would be most readily recognized by the pubilc. The abstract painting won with the highest number of bids at 4.
This dimension marks the point where I begin to get less technical and little more conceptual. This is a mixed blessing. Because the paintings are becoming increasingly complex and require some elevated thinking, I may need to take more time to complete them. Many of the previous paintings were so techincal they seemed like exercises, but now with such mechanical restraints like color and subject defined, I will need more time to contemplate bigger issues such as conceputalism, form and medium, that is, if the public approves...
